REFLECTION FOR THE FEAST OF THE BAPTISM OF THE LORD.

REFLECTION FOR JANUARY 9 2023.

Mt 3:13-17.
Jesus the sinless one allowed himself to be baptized by the humble John, and God confirmed him as his beloved Son. At my baptism my innumerable sins were forgiven and I also received the Holy Spirit. God’s favour rests on me, and this empowers me to serve God’s people. Do I appreciate the Sacrament of Baptism? Do I give in like John or do I think I am always right in conversation?

LET US PRAY
Thank you Lord for humbly submitting yourself to be baptized. Thank you for giving me the Holy Spirit to guide me. As your child and member of the Church, give me the grace to serve you through the services I render to humanity. Help me to keep my Christmas and new year resolutions. Renew the grace of Baptism in me. Amen.
