DAY 1

DAILY THEME: You are not too old or young to encounter the Holy Spirit.

BIBLE PASSAGE: Joel 2: 28-31

“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke.
The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

REFLECTION: One of God’s most precious gift to humanity is the Holy Spirit. When God’s Spirit is poured upon a nation, they are restored. We all need the Spirit of God. Whether young or old, rich or poor, master or servant. It is never too late for old man to dream dreams, or is it too early for young people to prophecy. God opens up secrets beyond the comprehension of men, through his Spirit.

And the Spirit blows wherever it wills, free from any form of discrimination or favoritism, but only to the soul that longs for it.

Therefore open your heart for the Holy Spirit today.

PRAYER: Come Holy Spirit, I need you. Use me, possess me, overshadow me, consecrate me, work in me and through me. Fill me with your power and your unfathomable gifts. Recreate me that I may live a life in the spirit. Renew your church with the power of Pentecost, and revive me with the Pentecost experience.

Come oh gift of Christ my Lord, so that I may never be left as an orphan. Build your home in me, make me a temple fit for thee. Come oh light divine, and dispel the darkness of my being. Come oh great intercessor and carry my prayers to God the Father in groans too deep for sound. Come oh tongues of fire and devour my fears, make me your worthy ambassador, and forever take control of my life. Amen.

CONFESS: Lord I need your Holy Spirit like on the day of Pentecost, I surrender myself to you. Melt my heart, take control of my whole being, my emotion, my feelings, my thinking, and my actions.
Feel me with your gifts,and use me for your glory.
